Vision for Vision is an eye-care awareness non-profit. We hope to ensure that everyone takes advantage of Medicare benefits for annual eye exams to protect their vision against treatable diseases.
Annual Eye Exams
Adults should have checkup eye exams annually to check for eye problems.
Regular eye exams can detect diseases like glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy, in their early stages. Catching these diseases early is the first step to protecting our sense of vision.
Medicare
Fortunately, Medicare and many insurance programs cover the cost of these eye exams!
We can all take advantage of these benefits that may very well save our sight.
High risk groups are eligible for eye exams:
- Diabetes
- Family history of glaucoma
- African-American and 50 or older
- Hispanic and 65 or older
