Presenting for V4V is so worthwhile. Walking out, I always feel like I made a difference, like I truly accomplished something that will impact the lives of others. I know that, by doing these presentations, we’re starting to fill an enormous hole in the global community; glaucoma is a huge issue around the world not because it is difficult to treat, but because society on the whole is unaware of it, and we’re doing this in order to bring them that awareness. I know we’re just starting out and that our cumulative audience is not yet as large as it hopefully will be someday, but with each person I talk to and each presentation I give, I know that I am absolutely making a difference.
